Spring Tables that Delight

Here's the thing, I love color! I think autumn is a lovely time of the year with the season's mums, pumpkins, corn husks and all. And, Christmas is always a fun time to decorate...greens, ribbons, lights (white, not colored), candles galore, etc. I spend the least amount of time, if any, decorating for Easter. But there's something about the decor of this season that I just love. It's not the eggs, faux grass, all things bunnies and carrots. It's the colors! Is there any color that doesn't look fabulous with aqua? Go ahead, try me. And, I challenge anyone who says that pastels aren't soothing. But, add a bright pop o' color and it shouts, "Spring is here!" and "Summer's on it's way!"

My mom has fabulous taste and an amazing home. It's meticulous with gorgeous decor--most of which she does herself. I would be willing to bet her dining room table is already set for Easter, laden with fine china, Waterford glasses, some form of Lindt chocolate on the salad plates and a beautiful centerpiece. All perfectly coordinated. I never really remember what the actual meal is at most Easter dinners. It's funny. I just remember the prettiness of it all. However, I'd like nothing more than to break in the night before. I'd replace her neutral colored damask tablecloth with a bright colored chevron or trellis fabric table runner. I'd replace the coordinating salad plates with ones of a bright, contrasting color. And, I'd replace some of the Easter decorations with unique vases of the season's most vibrant colors.

All of these photos inspire me, I hope they do you as well!
Happy Spring!!!
